The evolving market means that you, as a super salesperson, needs to be well-educated in how to best market content and create native advertising campaigns that will connect advertisers’ brands to your niche magazine audience.

  3. Sell the outcome, not the product. Advertisers are focused on results. Clearly define KPI’s with each client from the start. Update them regularly with mini-results too.
  4. Meet ALL the clients’ needs. Marketing budgets have way more line items than the old days; instead of print vs digital, there’s social media channels, video, and more. Make sure you anticipate the needs of your client in every segment.
  5. Brainstorm about niching your niche. Does your audience data indicate there may be some missed opportunities for their advertising in your potential vertical markets? Explore the possibilities together!
